I would like to take the time to express my appreciation and sincere thanks to Bert and Linda Holzhauser, owners and operators of the Rising Sun Hunt Preserve in Dorris, California. I have been to several hunt preserves and game ranches over the years and have found The Rising Sun Hunt Preserve to be one of the best.

Our visit to The Rising Sun Hunt Preserve was my sons first hunt. I wanted it to be the best possible hunting experience he could ever dream of. That is exactly what we found at The Rising Sun Hunt Preserve. We stayed in our motorhome during our trip and they provided level parking and supplied us with an electrical hookup. Next time we visit we will consider staying in their first class lodge which is more like a private two-story cabin with all the amenities of home.

All of our hunts were in walking distance from our camp or the lodge. Bert Holzhauser went above and beyond expectations to insure our hunts were the best we could possibly hope for. Each hunt was scheduled to our leisure. During the three days that we were enjoying the facilities of The Rising Sun Hunt Preserve other hunters came and went although during the hunts themselves we never encountered another hunter in the area we were hunting. All of the hunts at this preserve are 100% private and top quality.

I would highly recommend Bert Holzhauser and the Rising Sun Hunt Preserve to anyone looking for an enjoyable and top-notch hunt.
