Hunting opportunities at Rising Sun Hunt Preserve include upland birds such as pheasant and chukar. 

The birds attract such predators as bobcat and coyote. 

In addition, there is excellent habitat for deer and elk.

We recommend #6 high base shot for pheasants and chukars.  Also, hunters must wear blaze orange.  If you do not have your own blaze orange clothing, we have blaze orange caps available at a minimal fee.

We also offer clay pigeon shooting.

We encourage you to bring your own dog, but if you need a dog we offer the use of our own excellent pointing or flushing dogs accompanied by our guide at reasonable rates.  Please call for details.
